Death by Daylight developer Behaviour Interactive prepares to launch a new multiplayer game

A job posting from Behaviour Interactive, developer of Dead By Daylight, suggests that in addition to the ongoing asymmetrical horror game and the upcoming user-generated content title Meet Your Maker, a brand new multiplayer game is in development Behaviour is currently developing a new multiplayer game.

Behaviour is currently hiring for a number of positions, some of which refer to “unannounced projects” or the studio’s “next IP.” According to the online systems programmer position, the game will feature “inventory, achievements, and scoreboards” and must be online at all times.

Behaviour Interactive is known for its online multiplayer games, such as Dead of Day, and may be hoping to find success with another multiplayer game (via VeryAli Gaming).

Another job posting for an unannounced game calls for a console system programmer, which would focus on “porting a PC game to a new console platform,” but could be the same game as the one above. If it is the same game, the job description details “experience developing cross-platform multiplayer games” with a focus on multiplayer.

Behavior is also looking for a system designer for an “unannounced project”.

The “unannounced project” will “integrate with the game’s economy to plan player progression and ensure data consistency for individual progression through real-time updates.” This suggests ongoing support, continuous updates, and an ever-changing game economy, making it truly a multiplayer title.

Dead By Daylight‘s next project may still be a mystery, this job posting at least seems to confirm that the studio is developing a new multiplayer IP alongside its other existing projects.

The first “Dead Space” remake game trailer is still a surprise

The first gameplay trailer for the upcoming “Dead Space” remake has finally been released, and I can tell you this. This is definitely Dead Space. The original “Dead Space” is 14 years old, but in my mind, it looks just like this new video. The enemies, the environment, the ever-so-convenient (and clichéd) “cut off a limb” written in dirty blood on the wall. But clearly, we’ve come a long way. The original version didn’t look bad, but it has certainly aged.
