Joseph Lubin’s Infura Plans to Create an Amazon Web Services for Ethereum Nodes

In response to the most complex upgrade to Ether that has occurred to date, infrastructure provider Infura is developing a decentralized version of its service, offering a scalable Ether infrastructure and Web3 developer application programming interface (API). The company is controlled by Joseph Lubin, co-founder of Blockchain and founder of blockchain software company ConsenSys.
Infura rejected claims that the Ether merger, under which the blockchain made a historic transition to Proof-of-Stake, could lead to more centralized control of the blockchain, and that Infura would provide its customers with a decentralized way to run network nodes. For this reason, the venture will provide a solution for application developers and users that can be compared to Amazon Web Services Ether and other blockchains.
According to the plan, the new service is expected to launch in the first half of next year, Bloomberg reported.
“What we’re doing is that when people are accessing data, it can be done in a decentralized way,” said E. G. Galano, co-founder of Infura.” Our impact is greater than what we would have in an ecosystem.”
Infura aims to create a decentralized network of node operators and is already accepting applications from operators interested in joining its early access program, Galano said.
In the meantime, he said, the company is planning to continue to offer a centralized version of its service to Infura users around the world.
Infura said its global community consists of more than 400,000 developers from a variety of companies, including Uniswap, Coinbase Wallet and MakerDao, among others.
