Total War: Warhammer 3 update 2.2 will add the new Skaven Terminator crisis

The upcoming Total War: Warhammer 3 is due to arrive around October 18, and when it does, you can expect a new possible crisis ending for the United Empire of Immortals campaign. The Creative Assembly has suggested that the fantasy strategy game’s next apocalyptic scenario will feature sky soldiers in some form that could be very much in line with the canonical ending for the world of Warhammer a few years ago along the same lines.

In the patch notes for Total War: Warhammer III hotfix 2.1.2, Creative Assembly notes that it expects to release update 2.2 on October 18, and provides a general list of the changes we can expect from that patch. For example, it should fix the crash at the end and make some much-needed improvements to enemy AI and combat in the settlements.

It also says that the patch will include a new crisis ending, in which there is a distinctly Scavian-sounding “yeah, yeah” note.

For those unfamiliar with Immortal Empires, when you start a new campaign you can select one or several endgame scenarios that trigger at specific points during your game. These are based on the interesting tradition of the Warhammer Endgame – there are now The Black Pyramid, A Grudge Too Far, Da Biggest Waagh!, The Wild Hunt and Vampiric Ascension) as options.

Normally, the Immortal Empire will choose one of the crises you select to determine the end of your campaign. However, you can also choose ‘Final Crisis Mode’, which will cause each selected crisis to be triggered together at the end of your game.

Now, in the official Warhammer Workshop Games tradition, the old world has literally come to an end, and the apocalypse is aided by a natural disaster that causes the apocalypse – mainly by blowing up the moon and causing warpstone-infested asteroids to crash into Earth (wiping out most of the Lizardmen in the process).

It’s not hard to imagine such a scenario in the Immortal Empire – warpstone asteroids could appear in a mechanically similar fashion to the Daemon Gate in the Chaos Realm campaign in Total Warhammer III.

The first “Dead Space” remake game trailer is still a surprise

The first gameplay trailer for the upcoming “Dead Space” remake has finally been released, and I can tell you this. This is definitely Dead Space. The original “Dead Space” is 14 years old, but in my mind, it looks just like this new video. The enemies, the environment, the ever-so-convenient (and clichéd) “cut off a limb” written in dirty blood on the wall. But clearly, we’ve come a long way. The original version didn’t look bad, but it has certainly aged. The remastered version looks much better, with many technical improvements, including an “intensity director” that dynamically adjusts objects, enemies, environmental effects, and even Isaac’s physical reactions. Gone are the loading screens; Ishimura, where Dead Space is located, is one fully interconnected environment.
