Mob Psycho 100 Season 3 Episode 2—The Threat of a Hundred Demons

This episode depicted a common development in the early part of each season, where the mob assists a client with a spiritual vision and ultimately fights the demon.

This client is a crossover killer, but he is a very fun client because he doesn’t have the meanness that many of Reigen’s clients have. He believes Reigen is his friend and says buzzwords to make himself look smart, which Reigen is quick to point out. Reigen is always funny and hypocritical, pointing out the misdeeds of others.

Mob Psycho 100 always makes these battles interesting with great animation and interesting internal monologues from each character during the battles. In this case, the mob is concerned about the cultural festival, but manages to perform the Hyakki Yagyo without difficulty.

The episode is relatively lighthearted and won’t have much of an impact on future seasons, but clearly there is a reason here and it is subtly woven throughout.

The mob is troubled by the school presentation, but this time they come up with a solution without the help of the apparition, showing both their growth as human beings and their detachment from the apparition. He is praised at school, which is quite different from the situation at the beginning of the film. The more sensational, the more revelations are made through small and mundane things, and this is the essence of “Mob Psycho 100,” which is reflected in the spirit of the series as a whole.
