Resident Evil Village DLC will set 20 unlockable items in Mercenaries

More than a year after its announcement at E3 2021, Capcom is pleased to announce that Resident Evil Village, including the epilogue to protagonist Ethan Winters’ story, “Shadows of Rose,” a third-person mode, and an update to The Mercenaries game mode as Chris DLC” will be available shortly. Redfield, Karl Heisenberg, and Lady Dimitrescu. Those responsible for the expansion said that players will be able to get 20 unlockables, including stages and abilities, with The Mercenaries add-on command. And while one of the most popular characters had to be shrunk a bit to be playable in the game, fans of Resident Evil: The Village can now play as the 9-foot-tall furniture-throwing Lady D in one of the best PC horror games of 2022!

In an interview with Polygon, Winters’ Expansion game director Kento Kinoshita shared some new information about the expansion, particularly The Mercenaries Additional, which adds fresh content to The Mercenaries game mode. Orders, which adds fresh content to The Mercenaries game mode.

Kinoshita said the developers focused on giving each new character a “unique feel. They all have unique play styles, “I want to try them all!” and inspire players. Redfield uses firearms and close quarters melee combat, while Heisenberg uses magnetic force. Madame Dimitrescu is tall and can throw furniture, creating an imposing presence, reminiscent of the vanity-throwing scene early in the game.

The inclusion of these characters in Mercenaries is at least in response to feedback from players about their favorite characters, and will add more variety to a mode where players currently can only fight hordes as Ethan.

According to Kinoshita, the majesty of Lady D has been retained, but shrunk down a bit, in order to allow players to play within the technical constraints of the game.

All three characters appear powerful, but players will need to chain together attacks for high scores. Players can also upgrade items and purchase weapons and abilities to further enhance their gameplay.

Kinoshita told Polygon that the game’s update will culminate in 20 new unlockables, including new stages and abilities. The developer thinks they are worth playing, and mentions the LZ Answerer, which is currently hard to find in the game, suggesting that it might be easier to get with one of the new characters.

The “Resident Evil Village” DLC “Winters” expansion will cost about $20 for those who already own the base game and will be available on October 28, just in time for Halloween. The DLC includes a third-person mode for the main game, additional gameplay content “Shadow of the Rose” and additional command updates “Mercenaries”. Those who do not own the game can purchase the Resident Evil Village Gold Edition, which will be available on the same day for about $50.
